Anyone know if there is low cost/free legal aid for divorce cases?

My husband led me to believe we didn't need lawyers and that he would be fair and painted a pretty picture, but now he's got a lawyer and the divorce papers say he will keep it all and i'll get nothing. I don't want much... but at least I'm entitled to my own things.... right?Anyone know if there is low cost/free legal aid for divorce cases?

if you are in the uk, and he is petitioning you for divorce, he takes on the cost of the diviorce, but if you are not in a position to pay for a lawyer to contest his conditions, you can go, in the first instance and have a free consultation. Most lawyers offer the initial one free, and they will apply for legal aid on your behalf. Hope this helps
