Is it legal for Judges to change during a court case?

We started a Criminal Felony Case with One Judge, now the next trial date is with a different Judge. Is it legal for Judges to change during a court case?
Like any workplace, people get sick, get transferred, die, go on vacations, have family time off, compassionate leave etc.

Life happens.

Usually, a change is communicated to you through your lawyer.

If your lawyer did not , in turn communicate this change to you, you can file a complaint against your lawyer. Is it legal for Judges to change during a court case?
Happens all the time. In my county one judge handles the case from arraignment to sentencing. In other counties, one judge handles arraingment. Another handles bail hearings. A third handles motion hearings and a fourt handles trial and sentencing. There are advantages and disadvantages to both systems.
depends on the case of venues. The judge has the right to turn whatever case over to any other judge that they feel would be best at handled. If the judge has their calendar full then another judge will hear the case and all shall be done in fairness to the parties involved.
Yes. If there is a conflict of interest. He may know something about the case or has been told something about the case before it began.
Yes, it is legal. A judge can withdraw from a case any time.
