there needs to be some consideration for the woman in cases like this. the mental trauma would be severe to say the least. i support abortion for rape and danger to the woman's health. i don't in all other cases.

I dare someone to tell me if I got raped that I had to keep that thing. I'd make my way to the nearest set of steps and roll on down them. This is a fundamental question on which people will never agree. If you truly believe that life begins at conception, then you will probably never accept rape as a justification for abortion. If you believe, as I do, that abortion is an option of last resort and that a zygote is not yet ';human'; in every sense of the word, then you would accept abortion in the case of rape, incest, and risk to the mother's health.
Afterall, fetuses miscarry thousands of times a day. We don't have a funeral when a woman miscarries at three months... just how different is intentionally terminating an unwanted pregnancy?

It would be much better if we expanded our 2nd amendment rights and women just start shooting their attackers. At least then the criminal pays for the crime and not the innocent.
