What are my legal options in case my resignation gets rejected?

How about..........I quit............works..............What are my legal options in case my resignation gets rejected?
Your legal options will depend on where you're working, and whether you have an employment contract. Assuming that you're working in the US without an employment contract, employment is generally ';at will.'; You might see this term in an employee manual. It means that either of you can terminate your employment at any time, for any lawful reason.

If you resign, then they can't terminate you since your employment had already ended. Only an employer can fire an employee, and you wouldn't be an employee anymore. NOTE -- this is a big point. If you resign and give a few weeks notice, you are still an employee during that notice period. Your employer can fire you at any time during your employment (again, under US law with no contract). This means that your employer can fire you during the period before your resignation becomes effective. You WOULD be fired instead of leaving due to a resignation under that fact pattern.

You'd need to get a local lawyer to tell you your legal options based on your particular circumstances. This is all speculation, since you didn't provide many facts. For ex., if your resignation was accepted and there was an agreement that you would work for two weeks, etc., perhaps this resignation agreement could constitute an employment contract. If so, then your employer wouldn't be able to fire you as long as you lived up to the terms of that negotiated agreement. What are my legal options in case my resignation gets rejected?
depends on your contract, depends on company policy. it also depends on the legal system in the country you work in. example: i work in dubai. employment period is usually three years and breach of that contract will result to labor ban, payment of fines, and deportation. in the u.s., its entirely different. consult your HR department.
you can not have your resignation rejected provided you work the required notice period if after this time has elapsed and you do not recieve yourcards or whatever they give these days then contact the job centre
I am not sure about legalities , but, if there is no any bindation ,in form of your agreement in service terms %26amp; condition. You are in a democratic country.
If you have a contract you may have options but if you dont to bad.
They might not be happy to see you go, but they can't keep you there against your will.
