How do I find out a case information from a legal complaint?

I am attempting to sign up for victim's reparations from an old rape case, and the application asks for the claim's number, exact date of incident, address of incident, ect. How do I find this information out? Do I just contact that police station from the area I was in at the time of the report? How do I find out a case information from a legal complaint?
You can request a copy of the report from the dept you filed the report with. There will be a small fee for the report copy. Sometimes if you just want the complaint #, date, and address, you may be able to just call and ask them. They can usually look it up by your name and birthdate.
